Graph Your Inbox is a Chrome add-on that's perfect for users who want more information on their Gmail conversations and activity.
Once installed, the Graph Your Inbox icon will appear in your browser. Once you've logged into Gmail, clicking the icon will bring up the Graph Your Inbox interface. Graph Your Inbox says that although it uses the information in your inbox, it categorically doesn't save or transmit it to anywhere else.
Graph Your Inbox will then prompt you to search for names, tags, email addresses or simply search terms and neatly display the results, as you might have guessed from the name, in graph format.
Chart your Gmail activity
Graph Your Inbox will allow you to see how often and when your search terms have appeared, or let you compare one term with another. You can hover over a data point to get precise information, or click on it to pull up the emails in question.
Although Graph Your Inbox sounded interesting in theory, in practice it was harder to see how it might be of serious use. It's nicely designed, however, and for statistics fans, it will be interesting - at least for a while.
Graph Your Inbox is a nicely executed idea - but we're not convinced that it's actually of use.
